Where to begin, I met Julianne Ramirez in 2018 when she joined Family Medicine of Yakima as a pharmacist. Shortly after her arrival she started helping me with my diabetes at the time despite taking lantus 50 units twice a day, humalog 30-40units with each meal, glipizide and metformin 2000mg daily my A1C stayed at 13. After working with her for a few month she changed my medications, tried Victoza, Trulicity and others until we found the right combination and my A1C dropped to 6.3 allowing me to stop all insulin, glipizide and cutting my metformin to 1000mg daily, then do to insurance formulary changed after fighting for a prior auth Mounjaro was approved and cut my metformin to 500mg daily. If it would have not been for Julianne and her follow ups I would have given up on my regimen as I did many times now years later I have an A1C of 5.6 and I have her to thank.
